Giving back and supporting our community is an important aspect of our event and our committee. Each year a charitable foundation is selected to be the beneficiary of the Brilliance Awards silent auction.

Our 2024 benefactor is Judi’s House, a non-profit organization that believes that no child should be alone as they navigate the death of a loved one.

Judi’s House has provided bereavement care to families for over 20 years. Brian Griese, former quarterback for the Denver Broncos, and his wife, Dr. Brook Griese, a clinical psychologist, created Judi’s House to provide a safe space for grieving youth aged three to 25 and their families to receive compassionate and effective support at no cost. Brian lost his mother, Judi, to cancer when he was 12 years old, an experience that influenced his decision to found Judi’s House with the mission to help children and families grieving a death loss find connection and healing. Judi’s House is guided by a vision that no child should be alone in grief. The JAG Institute, also named in memory of Brian’s mother, Judith Ann Griese, extends the reach of the organization’s comprehensive grief care model through research and education initiatives. By sharing knowledge gained through years of direct services, these initiatives expand capacity locally and help create grief-informed communities throughout Colorado and the nation.

Since welcoming its first group of 14 bereaved children and their caregivers in 2002, Judi’s House has served more than 14,000 children and caregivers, and it has grown its capacity to provide grief-focused, trauma-informed care.

We are so excited to be supporting this wonderful organization this year.

All proceeds from the silent auction will be 100% directed to Judi’s House, and your donation is 100% tax deductible through the Brilliance Awards Nonprofit Corporation. To participate in and win auction items you must be present at and provide payment the night of the event.
